Reviews Overview

The fried fish is the standout star at Fried Fish Shack. Many patrons rave about the freshness and seasoning of each dish. The haddock and shrimp combination is a crowd favorite, and the homemade coleslaw and mac salad receive consistent praise for complementing the fried fish perfectly. Quick service adds to the charm, allowing diners to enjoy piping hot meals without long waits. Many guests appreciate the good value for the price, with most meals available for only $10-$20, making it accessible to a wide audience. The casual atmosphere invites patrons to feel at home while enjoying their meals.

Most Disliked

Some diners report that the wait times can be longer during peak hours, especially on Fridays around dinner time. While the bustling atmosphere can be enjoyable, it sometimes leads to noise that isn’t ideal for a conversational dining experience. Limited seating available during rush periods means that quick meals can turn into longer waits for a table. Additionally, for those who are not fish enthusiasts, the offerings might feel limited unless venturing into shrimp or non-seafood sides. For the best experience, timing your visit during less busy hours can help avoid these minor inconveniences.

When I say the food was amazing and hot and fresh! I meant it !! The customer was top tier they made me laugh because I picked up my food late but the food was still hot and was not soggy. The flavors were amazing! The prices are very reasonable! I ordered a Haddock and Shrimp dinner and then a Whiting Fish dinner and Shrimp Basket. Please come here they are one of the best in town !! Rated top 3 to me !!!

I will be going back to The Fish Shack. This was worth the miles on the vehicle. Mouth watering taste with every bite. The fish is so delicious it just puts a smile on your face. I have to admit out of all fish spots I ate at this is two thumbs up 👍🏿👍🏿. Try it to experience fresh cooked well seasoned fish 🐟. Thank you to the owners who are brothers.

Went on a recommendation. Not really a fish person, however this is the best fish I’ve had in recent memory. I went at 11:45ish today(a Friday) and there was a half hour minimum wait, kind of a bummer but I took the risk. I placed my order and came back and I knew the second I opened it, I made the right choice. $15 for what you see in my photo. So the price is standard but the flavor is not. I hope to come back and try a perch or cod. Atmosphere was a crowded lunch line, which actually made me happy when I walked in the door. Just didn’t seem(at least to me) like a stand and have a conversation place. I won’t ramble on anymore. Thanks for having me, hope to be welcomed back if I get the chance.

We wanted to try something new and it was a Friday so we went looking for a fish fry and found Fried Fish Shack. WOW! We had the daily special which was Swai and fries. The fish was breaded so my son was a bit hesitant as he prefers battered. Surprise! He loved it. It was flaky and delicious and the breading was perfect. I also ordered a side of hush puppies. At first I was underwealmed that you only get 5 little hushpuppies for the price, until I tasted them. Ok, I could have made a meal of them as they are some of the best hushpuppies I have ever had. The seasoning was awesome and stuck with you in a good way. Overall I am really happy we found this place! They have so many different types of fish we will have to go back and try them all as well as all of their sides. I certainly like the way they prepare them. Service is great too, very friendly.
